Re: Top five sci-fi films of all time
I watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the cinema and if I like a movie I look for the best sci fi movies on Netflix. I have a huge collection now which I can watch anytime.

Re: Top five sci-fi films of all time
I'm not really into sci-fi, but a good friend of mine keep bragging about how amazing is the Mass Effect 1 & 2. Trying to build the mood to play those games now, including watching The Guardians of The Galaxy which is entertaining and fun to watch. Tried hard to like Deus Ex but sadly can't. May be will try again one day.stringtapper wrote:1. Deus Ex
2. Assassin's Creed
3. Fallout
4. Mass Effect
5. Halo
These are my very limited collection of five:
1. Terminator (watched all series)
2. Planet of the Apes
3. Robocop
4. Star Wars
5. E.T

Re: Top five sci-fi films of all time
Since I already posted my top Sci-Fi films already:
viewtopic.php?p=1449714#p1449714
I'm going to post the top 5 I've recently seen:
The FP (2011)
Hilarious send up of 80's action + post apocalyptic/dystopian sci-fi + underdog/sports success flicks. Hits every cliche with deadly accuracy. Perfection.
The Road (2009)
This is how it will end…
Nirvana (1997)
Fun Cyberpunk flick easily beats many of its contemporaries to deliver not only genuine sci-fi but quite a bit of humour.
Safety Not Guaranteed (2012)
Charming, humourous, & heartfelt time travel movie. Reminded me of director Brad Anderson's (Session 9, The Machinist) Happy Accidents (2000)
Extracted (2012)
Intelligent sci-fi that proves once again just how satisfying a good story can be, despite a modest production. If only the big budgeted effects extravaganzas had stories this clever. (OK, some do, but not nearly enough!)

Re: Top five sci-fi films of all time
I tried to watch 2001 at least 3 times. but i felt asleep everytime before the scene with the apes ended.
But anyway, I will try it again and again.

I've seen the last 20 minutes a few times, never seen the whole thing all the way through for the same reason.Timbeaux wrote:I tried to watch 2001 at least 3 times. but i felt asleep everytime before the scene with the apes ended.

Since this has become more of a "dont forget about this one" thread, hears another.

I remember that They used to show it all the time on hbo. There was an arcade game for it too
