a moment of silence for those children shot today
a moment of silence for those children shot today
I am sorry our society has gotten to a point that people feel so alienated that they end up doing such drastic reactionary things.
I have kids, I feel a ripple in the Force today.....
(and yes I am aware that children all over the world are subjected to violence on a daily basis)

Footsy, to answer the jpg above, neither sign will prevent this sort of thing.
Seriously, a person who kills themselves at the end doesn't care when they go, they just want to take people with them... It's absolutely the most idiotic response, and I'll explain why very simply, when my family was arm robbed with a sawed off shotgun and colt 45 carrying duo kicking in our front door we were all in the living room. Literally 13 feet or so away was the gun rack with two rifles and three pistols. That little poster of yours is stupid beyond words to me.
I understand guns aren't going away if we outlaw them, but is it really that difficult to understand that suicidal mass murderers aren't going to be stopped by tougher grade school teachers? I mean really??

Always? If anything this shooting has had a larger emotional response because it was unique that it was an adult killing elementary school age children.andydes wrote:Why always children?
Your response is a tad over the top with a tinge of emotion behind it, but I have to agree with the main point: people who feel they have nothing to lose and want to take other people with them will not be stopped. Certainly not by any legislation and probably not by any preparation that most people in a free society would be comfortable with having around them in their daily lives.Machinesworking wrote:Footsy, to answer the jpg above, neither sign will prevent this sort of thing.

But this probably isn't the place for all this anyway.
