Remember:

"Resolutions" don't help much, except:

If you want to change your health and body weight, there is only one thing that counts. Habits.

The things you do every day, without thinking.

Eat healthy every day
Excercise every day.

Every day.

I lost 20 pounds in one year, just by focusing on those two things.

Good luck

Instead of trying to substitute stuff, you should make something completely new that is inherently "healthy".

This may probably look extreme, and people often see my food habits as being extreme.

But there is literally a hundred different ways to prepare a cheap bag of string beans, and it doesn't have to take more than 15 minutes.

But that's just me. Cooking is a hobby for me, while others see it as a necessary ritual in order to survive.

Would you believe it, my new year's fitness regime is going to be spending an hour a day dry humping an exercise ball as well.

I'm right behind you there, vivo. Not literally of course.

I've made an effort to not eat processed foods or anything with ingredients I don't understand.

I've also learned that a fast fry steak and steamed broccoli is just as fast at getting fast food, but cheaper.

I try to balance my caloric intake compared to my physical activity level. If I'm a lazy sack of shit all day, I don't need a double cheese burger.

also, fuck the gym. if you don't enjoy the gym, you probably aren't going to want to go back there. I would never be able to commit myself to a gym.

I have a chin-up bar, my GF has a pole, and I make an effort to bike a little more during the week, and push myself a little harder.

over all, just pay attention to what you eat and why you're eating it. Find a way to break a sweat every week in a way you enjoy.

and remember, when the zombies come, all I have to do is be able to outrun you...

all jokes aside, a pole is an excellent way to get in shape. I love climbing on shit, and having a climbing pole in the bedroom has given me noticable abs after just a month or so.

That is wise.

Death by Supermarket

Steam cooking instead of frying. Cooking basically kills all the nutrients in your food. To make matters worse, it's common to over cook and olive oil becomes toxic when over heated.

Best investment in my health has been to buy a Vita Mix juicer.

They're expensive but most juicers aren't powerful enough to liquify kale.

Juice kale twice a day and your health will improve I guarantee it. Yeah, it tastes like your drinking grass but hey it will do wonders for your health.

It's true. It's the most basic full body weight exercise and it will work.
