The psychological part of addiction is obviously the hardest part. It has nothing to do with physical cravings, and everything to do with your mind wanting to get the rush of the original fun part of the drug. Booze is the best example of this, most people when they start drinking have fun bonding experiences with their mates, talk to some girl way out of their league, take her to bed, get cheered up by a good conversation with some random people they play darts with in the local bar after a shit day at work etc. The mind over time will conveniently forget the hangovers, the apologies to friends and wasted time, moving violations, the std's, the puking, pissing exploding shits etc. and you fondly look back on the good part of drinking/drugs etc. ......and this time I'll do it right, no more than 3 drinks a day, I'll only smoke when I'm drinking etc. etc.d.reamonn wrote: If you started again after 2 years... the word we have for you is "idiot"—after a 3 days, most physical symptoms are gone, after 1 week, nearly all are gone, after 1-2 months, you're pretty much good.
