just seen more shit in the media about femen and although i agree with them on some points it got me thinking about femenism as a whole.
here is a video made by a women that really explains how i feel about one issue with feminism.

Re: femen
Thanks, man, for completing the missing link in the "necessary" daily diatribes. I had it narrowed down to: Terrorism; Illegal Immigrants; Homosexuals! I knew something was missing: Femen--A Ukrainian based feminist group. Again, thank you, Nathan^3nathannn wrote:just seen more shit in the media about femen and although i agree with them on some points it got me thinking about femenism as a whole.

Re: femen
Really? I thought the idiocy of your post was actively portrayed through the idiocy of my post. Seriously though, I didn't realize you expected us(the unknown collective internet) to understand your positions on feminism based solely on one single youtube video. I guess I misunderstood your intentions and points.nathannn wrote:That comment is very passive, why not just speak more bluntly?

Im expecting you to understand my position on the subject matter of the video which is only one single point being made in the universe of feminism.. thats it.
Do i need to edit the original post to make it clear that this is one view that i agree with?

based on the video itself. That's like asking you to understand how I feel about pornography by watching pornography. makes no sense, buddy!understand my position on the subject matter of the video
Re: femen
the woman in the video makes a point about an aspect of feminism that i highly agree with
if you watch the video the you will know the topic and the point i agree with
you are really trying to turn a simple concept into something complex.
you click the link, see the topic, watch it and done.

Re: femen
You're right. Given that we have both watched the video, I suppose it's that moment in which we elaborate? That might discontinue me flipping you shit and involve serious dialog. Are you up for that? I'm not sure that I am! This is a twot forum and I most certainly am a twot!nathannn wrote:there its edited

Obviously you are in a "cant be arsed" mood (is that how they word it over yonder?) and honestly I cant be arsed either.
If you would like to proceed though, I will see how much energy I cant put into it.

Re: femen
You added a line since I last read. You're willing to put in more than you virtually let on. Anyway, the person in the video freaks me out--I'm sorry, she's creepy.nathannn wrote:Obviously you are in a "cant be arsed" mood (is that how they word it over yonder?) and honestly I cant be arsed either.

Re: femen
how does she freak you out? its not like she's waiving a knife in front of the camera.
I have noticed, being creep'd out and things being freaky are both greatly over exaggerated emotions with people under 25. I find it really immature when people say something is creepy but they give no detail as to why its creepy. its almost an unwritten law that if some one says creepy we are suppose to not question if the creepiness exist out of fear of ourselves being called creepy. most of the time the creepiness doesn't exist and the person saying it does, is only saying so to make them selves appear to be above any type of flaws or faults.

Re: femen
Great post nathann , scott must be on the rag or something, ignore him.
She hit on the most inescapable issue with feminism as it stands today. When I was a tiny kid, feminists were doing real work, by the 80's they had become lost in tribalism and anger IMO.
The disposability of men is an issue that's going to take forever for even most men to wrap their brain around, it's so tightly ingrained into our sense of self worth that it's not possible for most men to see it as a problem. The saddest backlash to all this is the rise of the metrosexual, and a lot of modern women's preference for men who love to shop as much as they do etc.
