The place I work for launched a kickstarter campaign today.
Tell me what you think.

I really liked the Fantastic Flying Books app on the iPad. :)

But estimated release of this is April 2015? 8O

I know a lot goes into developing a game but pledging for something you may not see for 2.5 years? Has anybody successfully done that?

48 days to go.......I'd give you the remainder but I'm a little short:/
Ask Donald Trump tho, he could always try to use some good PR...

It'd be nice if you could get one of your awarded videos featured on the yt front page as a window for the kickstarter promo. Seems to me the only reason that number would be that low is if not that many people know about it.

Honestly I have no idea.
I am simply a cog in the machine.

Yet I love being a cog in this machine.
My job is great and the guys I work for seem to be able to wield magic.
I didn't think we were gonna be Oscar contenders, I didn't think our first app would succeed, I didn't think I was going to live in Shreveport LA very long.

I am not a gamer, or a programmer nor a kickstarer analyst,
but I am a 38 year old animator (whom my fellow employees probably perceive as a burn out, with some good ideas)
but I know we will make a killer game with a 25 year old gamers at the helm, who knows computer tech better than most.

Believe me there is much talk at the studio about the dollar amount,
the projected time spent to develop the game,
and the difference between asking Bill Joyce fans to fund a game vs a movie, and the difference between gamers and Bill Joyce fans.

Nevertheless I stay optimistic because the people I am surrounded with command that respect.

That said, I did not post this tread simply to solicit 15 to 30 dollars from my Ableton forum peers
I posted thread thread in "the Lounge" to get honest feedback from unbiased people who may or may not respect my efforts here.
I also wanted feedback from folks who may have input on things I know nothing about.
Most importantly I really like this Ableton Forum community, for better or worse, and wanted to hear your thoughts.

I hope you didn't take my post as snarky, I think it's awesome. It's the 750k in 48 days part that sucks, but it's not like that's the end of it.
Only input I can give is more online promotion.
