Finally playing with a proper display, a 42" Sony w674a and glad with the decision. It has a very low input lag (around 15ms), 100hz panel and a nice semi matte screen. We finally choose the size because it's the best for our room's size, also simulate better the size of a real pinball table.

I used to like playing all type of pinball game, including the very early version. but now, the simulation of classic tables like in the Pinball Arcade Series are what I like most. Also some of the Zen Pinball stuff.

My favorite pinball table is Eight Ball Deluxe. Lots of time spent on that one. There was another one, sort of like Theater of Magic, but it had a miniature ventriloquist doll head on it. Can't remember e name of that one, though. Funhouse or something? How about Pin-bot or Xenon?

Never really got on with video game pinball. Just doesn't have the same feel.

Those are great tables, and most are available in the Pinball Arcade Collections. Seems like it's Funhouse, the only one with a circus type of doll as I remembered.

it's always like analog simulation vsts against the real analog hardware :) but at least those have the same blinking lights and the sound of the real pinball machine. Also a closer size using a proper display. As much as I love the real pinball machine, but If should choose from one real table or 50+ seriously made simulation tables for less than $150, which is way cheaper..I'd choose the later.

If it doesn't look like this inside then it's not pinball

So how has the virtual big screen pinball experience been? GTA V is almost convincing me to get a PS so I'd spring for this as well. Actually what would be pretty sweet is to have a swivel base for the screen (attached to the wall) so you can easily put it in portrait mode for pinball 8O

And try making the pinball games in 3D.

it's been great so far..not as authentic as the real table off course, but it's quiet satisfying for what it is. Pinball Arcade is one of the early tittle for PS4 as can be seen from the trailer in the PSN Store. Latest news, it will not be a cross buy, but hopefully will came up with a special price for owner of the PS3/Vita version. If you like GTA V, seems like a great moment to score a PS4. The developer mentioned about how great it will be in the PS4 and they did a lot of work for the upgrade. Not sure about potrait mode, supposed to be great. But the setting works well with my current display, not sure if it's attended for being used in a potrait mode. 3D is very interesting..but I can't wear the eyeglass for too long, specially for a fast action like playing pinball.
