I'm not buying the "italian" bit. I'm sure most adults in general regardless of ethnicity have a more seasoned humor compared to yourself, if the kinds of pics you find amusing are any indication.

No no, it's an established fact that all Italians are exactly like Myrnova, and that she can very well speak for them.

yes, it's true, we have a very different humour, very autoironic and jeering. Most of english and american people could not understand it and would feel hurt by our humour, too "strong". English/american humour is serious and generally "cold". Infact we never laugh at english humour, when jokes or such don't make us laugh, we call it "british humour", meaning it is cold or nonsense. When something is very stupid and/or cheesy we call it "un'americanata" (meaning: an american thing").

no, it is just cultural antrhropology. That's what americans don't understand (the differences among cultures: so called "cultural relativism"). They want to "export" their culture, and it is so sad. When they go outside U.S.A. they look for mcdonalds, american hotels, american movies, american hospitals, etc. Many americans think the rest of the world is like the U.S.A. Here in this forum, too, many of them write as if people outside U.S.A. would know understand their movies, tv shows, popstars, sport events, slang etc. Seems they ignore people and culture outside their country is deeply different. See 911.

This is also racist. You're making gross judgmental generalizations about an entire people.

I think it is 80-90% of american people who behave like that, not 100%.

Well that's ok then. You're just making gross judgmental generalizations about 80-90% of an entire people. NOT AT ALL RACIST.

By the way, how many times have you visited the States? You seem to know a lot about it...

Generalization does not mean "racism". What you call "racism" could be called "xenophoby". Racism is an old european '800 pseudoscience, created in order to justify colonialism in Africa and Asia. Human "races" do not exist. Infact there is no difference at all among africans, europeans, etc. apart skin colour, eyes, nose and sexual organs (and not because of different "races", but only as a consequence of human body in different environments). On the contrary, cultures are different (deeply different), that is what most of americans don't understand and don't respect (making wars).

My apologies. So we both agree that you're a xenophobe. Glad we could sort that out..
