U.S.A. and the nazi regime have the same symbols, not because the U.S. are "nazi", but because both are a military dictatorship. The U.S. are more powerful and have committed more crimes, though. In a democracy people have free national health care. Besides, horrors like death penalty, torture and such are illegal and considered a nonsense, of course.

Let alone KKK and the way people have to indicate their "ethnicity" on documents!

The problem with U.S.A is that they claim this lie of "we are a democracy". They aren't of course. They called themselves "a democracy" even when they had slavery, segregationism, jim crows, killed millions natives, etc. The fact the U.S. claim to be a "democracy" does not mean it is. Infact in a real democracy death penalty is banned, people have free national health care, you cannot buy guns and weapons as if they were candies, racism is banned, the term "socialism" is not a taboo word, war is called "war", not "exporting democracy", torture and crimes against humanity are banned. Let alone dropping atomic bombs on innocent people, agent orange, napalm, cluster bombs, pollution, "stay behind", CIA supporting fascist dictatorships, international terrorism, 20 million innocent deaths only in the last 25 years... etc. etc. etc. Seems americans remove all these crimes from their conscience, like the germans did in the 30s... At least 80-90% of american population do. They reckon like: "ok, our government is shit, the army commit crimes worldwide, but hey, it is not my fault and after all I am free, I can sing, dance, watch funny movies, fuck, have some drugs, take a trip outisde U.S., say whatever I like, eat burgers, play with my iphone...". In other words: "pane, et circenses", or "the dictatorship of unawareness". Otherwise they are scared by war propaganda ("evil terrorists menacing the country", "our boys defending peace and freedom" and such bullshit), in order to make them feel "patriot". Very sad. Ummm? You're conveniently forgetting about French, and British empires that had democracies as well. Mostly war and violence has come from parliamentary democracies in tyh
The term democracy is used to describe social democracies, but democracy on it's own is simply a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. Basically a system of voting for your leaders, not a system of government.

So in a democracy you could have freedom of speech, racism is essentially a part of that. Freedom isn't about suppressing ideas that are against equality, but about suppressing actions that are suppressing individual rights. Freedom and democracy are commonly linked, but they aren't the same at all. Hitler was voted in. Sure he cheated, but the fact remains Germany was a democratic state before his election. A nation of Christians can vote to ban other religions, and vote to take their own rights away. Democracy is rule by the majority, and when the majority is fooled, it's not that great. It sure beats one party systems though.

This is why I think it's silly to compare us to the nazis. First off, they would have had a much larger death count. There would be only a few Russians and Poles left as slaves, and jews would be gone completely. Their system of government had no checks and balances, it was a single tier to Hitler. We are much more like the British and French colonial empires. Like them we have massive amounts of excuses, but still just there for your material wealth.

Wrong. British and French "empires" were not at all democracies. In a democracy monarchy is banned. They were military dictatorships, not democracies. Infact they both had death penalty and committed war crimes. Both were based on colonialism and war. Maybe you just think "constitutional republic" or "constitutional monarchy" means "democracy", because of the war propaganda (the fact people in those countries and in U.S. can vote, travel, dance, sing, sometimes even "free speech" allowed...)?

Regarding the comparison with the nazi, the symbols are identical. Not because the U.S. are a nazi regime, of course. But because both are military dictatorships, based on war and supremacy. U.S. are actually more dangerous, in my opinion (atomic bombs, pollution, torture, atrocities, capitalism etc.). Not that Hitler was a fairplay guy... he was a nut and a tyrant, infact.

This is not democracy. This is populism. Democracy is not a right, it is a duty. In real democracies racism and fascism are banned: for instance, people cannot vote for "fascism to come back", "death penalty" etc. Such things in real democracies are banned. Sometimes I listen to some american guys who claim: "death penalty is legal because people want it". That is the proof U.S. are not a real democracy, but a military dictatorship based on populism (democracy does not work like that!).

Hitler was not voted in a real democracy. He got the power thanks to a weak democracy. He was supported by capitalists in order to avoid socialism in Germany. The same in Italy with Mussolini. It is called "populism".
