Re: art
I guess, though I would argue that a reliable index of society's (declining) health would be the overall respect and appreciation that lack-of-talent/skill receives. Trololol.

Well I don't like Meese, but i do like Die Grenze.TomViolenz wrote:Re: Meese and Die Grenze:
Ha, that's how you like your German artists, huh derzai?!
One is playing around with Third Reich symbolism (because, apparently that's what it takes for some to take German artists serious - also see: Rammstein)
And the other paints a border crossing, how fucking original for a German....
Why is it that when they fullfill the German clicheè, that you find it exiting and original?!
You supposed everything i put up here i like myself? Well i don't. I can also upload something i don't like.
Also, again, I am not responsible for the content of the artwork. the maker of the artwork is.
and about the german clichee, i don't know, maybe you do?
I also don't like Rammstein.
But Daniel Richter makes sense to me, in many ways. lol.

thanks for these - i really like the elliot johnson and eric swanson stuff.
i seen quite a bit of ron mueck's work here and there in london over the years, it's pretty mind boggling what he creates isn't it?
sometimes i look at artworks and really feel inspired to go and create something but sometimes i look at them and feel like i might as well give up and go home as i could never hope to even come close
the martin creed exhibition the other day just made me annoyed
