I think he means that the Bitwig thread starts when hype in the forum begins to divide out of control at an exponential rate. If the hype stayed in one place, then the Bitwig threads would usually be relatively easy to treat by surgery. But Bitwig threads can grow and spread around the forum, making treatment more difficult.

One of the things that makes Bitwig rumors so difficult to treat is the fact that they can spread around the forum. Bitwig hype can break away from the original primary rumor and spreads through the pages or the entire PHP posting system, forming new secondary rumors in areas such as The Lounge, Music and Audio Production, or Feature Wishlist. Scientists call this process metastasis.

I say ENOUGH with the bitwig thread threads, ie. threads talking about threads that talk about bitwig.

It depends whether this particular tumour is benign or malignant; should you choose to care.

Certainly malignant - it's spreading into totally unrelated threads that have nothing to do with it.
