Starbucks is slowly making an incursion into Cape Town. I was initially positive, since I had heard it was all about decent coffee. How wrong I was. It seems that it's about the corn syrup. And the milk. Their coffee is so bland. They sell stuff as coffee that my girlfriend could give her teens as a goodnight drink. It's like beverages for babies. 8O

Fortunately we have a lot of decent locally owned coffee shops and chains that sell stuff you can actually taste. 8O And hopefully the infantilization of our palates will take a few years yet.

Yorkshire Gold. I must remember that next time I'm at the supermarket.
