I had my 2 weeks also, it was vogue to sniff,I was afraid of needles, I remember puking allover my self and not giving a fuck, driving, listening to led zep 3, thinking I am deeply connected now with Jimmy Page....played guitar for 8 hours straight. Got scared off before I dove in further. I was adventurous in my youth, was on a mission to try everything at least once.....Absolutely no regrets, gained much insight and empathy that has served me well in my professional life now days. Coke simply sucked because I could not have sex....and the rush was 5 minutes and the rest of the bag was spent trying to achieve that first feeling. Meth now that was different, nothing like screwing for 2 days straight, but the come down.....OUCH!!!!
My crowd was funny, we could party hard, then turn around and Kale up, hit the Gym, and bounce back to reality......

I do miss a good shroom/acid trip. it has been a very long while!!!

yeah my two weeks was spent driving, puking, sitting, wondering if i'm going to puke, and watching all the other fuckers around me go further down the rabbit hole. i always wanted to try everything as well, but smack was the one thing that made me say "this shit is too powerful. no one is supposed to feel this high". then, i was done.
as for blow... yep same issue bothered me... no sex, yet ironically it usually made me want it more... as if mocking me.

buh bye.

PCP was another adventure too 8O but that was like a horribly evil acid trip. been there done that.

Never did heroin because I know I'd never have stopped.

One time this guy told me I hadn't really got high until I let a pretty nude girl give me a shot of heroin in one arm, and another pretty nude lady give me a shot of coke in the other arm, while another girl gave me head.

I'm pretty sure he was right.

Still though, nothing makes a psychedelic trip incredible like a shot of dope.

However I'd trade the experience for a more stable understanding of my current reality at 39.

Come to think of it I'd probably tell myself,
A day will come when people are selling analogue synths for a few hundred dollars.
Buy all of them.
And don't fuck with max for live.

 of course hindsight is always 20/20, I wish I had stayed committed to the 2 bands I logged the most time with in the 90's, instead of thinking rock/alternative was lame with electronica being the next best thing. I had a brotherhood that despite success or failure accepted each other unconditionally, and was willing to put in the collective hours making music together. Some how I got off on an elitist trip thinking I was ahead of the crowd because I could appreciate synths, samplers, and drum machines, when at the end of the day it propelled me to a place where I was skeptical to open up and share musically, since all of a sudden I could do it all....
Now days, i'm all nostalgic missing the energy that a real band manifests.....got to love the irony and sense of humor in life. :)

Word.

How come this has turned into a drugs thread?

And no one has mentioned MDMA

Bring a tape recorder with you everywhere throughout the 90s, so that I can listen back and tell you what all you shouldn't do since we both know you… er we won't remember the 90s at all.
