Fools the both a'ya...

One hardly coherent, the other only able to talk pictionary style. Both feel themselves to be great philosophers because they repeat some mindless Hippie mumbo jumbo.

But you guys go ahead and start to improve yourselves, while the fucking world is burning. Ridiculous!!! :x

I'm sure those winning athletes you root for share your 'why bother, the world is about to end' sentiment, otherwise they wouldn't be where they are thinking about ridiculous things like self-improvement.

If all you see of the world is that it's burning then you're blind.

If you never listen to better ideas then you're deaf.

If all you do is complain about the world burning without trying to help it then you're dumb.

If you never want to change then you're a baby.

You're favorite color is yellow.

You sound like a bitter old lady.

To make things even cheesier, despite what looks like turning a blind eye to tragedy is not the case.
Just as it's horrible about the malaysian airlines and the rest of countless intended and unintended tragedies that happen on a daily basis, they are, well, tragic. It's been happening every day since before we were here.
Death is all around you and in you and happening to you all the time, just as is life.

There's also a lot of beauty and greatness and human goodness goin on as well.
The point of the news today is to depress you, make you feel hopeless and vulnerable, to break your spirit, that way you give in and are open to suggestion.
As long as they have that effect on you then you're their slave.
Either way, I don't see how being a bitch does anyone good.
Not to say you have to be a badass oblivious to pain and sadness, it's just whether you choose to be a bitch or not.
I suppose if you want to be a bitch then I'll do my best to ignore you but if we share the same spaces and I find an attitude unsettling I may offer another perspective on it.

Also it seems pretty fuddy duddy to criticize artists for expressing themselves using abstract non-verbal methods.

And as you've admitted before, English isn't your first lanuage but you're bitching at a dutch person for not speaking english well.
Maybe consider trying a cranbery vodka.

In the 90's i lived without tv for about 7 years. Didn't read newspapers either. Really, the most easy way to feel better is to shut yourself of from the news.

Okay, if everybody does, the people in power could even become more easily abusive.

About that German, I never hear a native English or American speak/write English like he does. So.

If I really wanted to make sense, I could first write it down in Dutch, and then spent an evening to get it translated in some English other people would understand as well, but I dont care.

The German is playing stupid. He is just avoiding my question about his cultural background, i.e. the former DDR, cause he knows it is a sceptic tank he better keeps the lid on.

Ah it was only about soccer.

Then there is another issue Germans have and that is that they confuse humor and sarcasm. And they have a long tradition of humiliating in their dna.

He's exposing both of these "qualities".

And they never won a war, that could be the real reason.

When the German is winning, he is nice and friendly, and when he is loosing, he gets ugly and violent.

And amongst each other they are even more terrible than versus another nation.

Mwah, bah. There is some good Germans too btw, we will hang them apart.

The Americans are the boss in the world, that is the German frustration.
