Re: Creative Year - whats your favourite destiny ?
I would stay right here in South Africa.
Where I live right now it is very windy in the summer months. Studio is noisy.
But a friend has a wooden cabin in the mountains. No phone, no mobile signal. No people. A beautiful little stream.
Build a little shack with an electricity supply ... . It would be heaven on earth.

i think there is a lot possible if musicians comparing some of their living-conditions.
maybe there are even "swaps" possible, and i can imagine that someone from berlin
could easy swap for 6 moth to NewZealand and you will even get 2 hours Playtime/week in a Club in Berlin
if you want this.
And which club?

Bike trails, good beer, legal (cheap, amazing) weed, relaxed people, a language I can understand (instead of three I'm always guessing people might speak), actually earning interest on your savings, being able to buy food on Sundays, cheap gas, dog friendly parks, close access to mountains and snow, lack of VAT, slow but predictable drivers, not having construction every where, clothes dryers that actually dry your clothes, REI, hops, a proper electronic music culture, Live user groups, food with flavor for less than 100 euro a meal (although amazing if you can spend that much)...sigh.
I think I'm just home sick.

What US bank did you use??? I earn about $0.01 a month for every $1,000 I have in savings. I say “about” because it’s actually less than that.
How long are you stuck over there? What year is it over there right now?

Living in Luxembourg would be like having multiple personality disorder...every day when you awaken..."Hmmm...shall I be French today, or Belgian...or maybe Kraut....or maybe Dutch........ah fuckit, let's do the Algerian getup....Tagor wrote:Haha.. so imagine you have a home like Luxembourgh... you would never ever feel homesickness... or only for all places that not your home...Tarekith wrote:Bike trails, good beer, legal (cheap, amazing) weed, relaxed people, a language I can understand (instead of three I'm always guessing people might speak), actually earning interest on your savings, being able to buy food on Sundays, cheap gas, dog friendly parks, close access to mountains and snow, lack of VAT, slow but predictable drivers, not having construction every where, clothes dryers that actually dry your clothes, REI, hops, a proper electronic music culture, Live user groups, food with flavor for less than 100 euro a meal (although amazing if you can spend that much)...sigh.
