KVR Audio Down?

Post by The Northern Contingent » Fri Sep 18, 2015 7:51 am

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but is anyone else having problems accessing the KVR audio website? For the last three days my browser just hangs when I click on the link. Its frustrating as I've got something on sale in the marketplace over there and need to bump the post!

No problems here. Working as normal as far as I can see.

Really? I wonder what it could be? I've tried emptying my history and accessing KVR with a different browser but I get the same thing each time. Its only KVR that I can't access. I'm in the UK - could it be to do with where I'm trying to access it from?

I'm also not accessing it on my phone as well as my computer. Same thing happens whether I'm on my wi-fi connection or 3G.

Thanks for trying - something very odd is happening at my end.

Maybe someone posted a nude pic on KVR and now your little censor happy government made your ISP filter it out for your convenience and to "protect the children"?!

No, I'm not joking. Many regular websites have been blocked partially in the UK for such silliness :x

But don't worry: If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear ;-)

Well - I've finally just been able to access KVR via a VPN connection which is very weird. Can't be a UK thing though as the server was in Coventry. At least I've been able to bump the sale.

Sorry that's what I meant. It can't be a government ban as I was able to access KVR through a UK based VPN server. What I do t understand is how I can do that but don't have any luck trying to connect directly.

That's not how that porn censor works though. The government made it opt-in to view porn. You have to tell your ISP up front if you want porn. (So you get put on a porn list ;-))
If you do this then you get to see the internet the rest of the free world does.

If not then it is up to the ISP to block your access to sites that get reported to it. So it is absolutely possible that some helicopter mom reported smut on KVR to your ISP, but not to all of them. Or it could just be one of the KVR trolls having some fun with it. Hard to say.

But it's absolutely possible that one ISP is affected while another might not.

Ah - I see. Anyway - I've just tried again and its connecting fine directly. So what was all that about? Three days I've not been able to connect! Thanks anyway for your help.
