No rumors that I’m aware of, but Massive is also long overdue for an update. I’d argue it’s probably their most popular plugin but has been update stale for a long time.

A new Kontakt would also be great because as things stand now the future Komplete upgrade is looking a little light.

It's a 1/32 scale sonically accurate reproduction of a JP 8080 in ultra shiny black shinoleum, with pale black writing . No midi. No cv. No knobs. No outputs. It's just a 5cm ultra shiny black rectangle.

I hope not. The hardware is fine (and expensive). They need to release Maschine 3 software with better DAW functionality.

I'm betting a new normal sized maschine controller first with color screens. Then they release the new Studio a few months later.

I agree. The hardware is fine, but I would definitely welcome some improvements to the sequencer.

I feel like NI is the Apple of music developers shifting to being more hardware centric, bundled with gateway versions of their software, and dazzling us with frequent new hardware that hardly anybody really needs, but you need for optimum performance with their software. AND they come in different sizes!

You know what would be sweet? I’m going to tell you. Cableguys have a feature on their plugins where users can create presets which they can upload to the cloud and from a browser within the plugin you can download and rate them.

Since NI’s Komplete Kontrol format for third party plugins hasn’t taken off like wild fire and you have to hunt down the available plugins developer by developer, they should also have a browser within that plugin that links you to supported plugins and user templates for you to download. That.

Ableton needs to create a Gear Spec Fan Fiction sub forum to prevent these situations from happening.
