Collaborating with your old time favorite artists

Post by beats me » Tue Jun 28, 2016 6:00 pm

Since there are a lot of (relative) old timers on here with obscure music tastes, has anybody collaborated with or tried to with one of their old time favorite artists? 20 years ago it might not have been possible due to their popularity at the time and lack of social media, but I would think things may be easier now assuming your favorite artist doesn’t fit into the “living legend” category and still packing stadiums. Keep things within reason.

some of my all time favorite artists have become my favorite artists because i met them through collaboration, (but not because i collaborated with them) but i would reckon pretty much no-one else would know them.

the only 'collaborations' i have done with well known artists would be remixes/reinterpretations of their tracks, but the artists themselves would highly unlikely know this. especially whitney houston 'cos she's dead
