Thanks for the link. I think I might have hit that page before but didn’t scroll down. Seems like there is a lot more differences than I thought but there are also things I probably wouldn’t mess with anyway.

I want true legato and time stretching, but can deal with less mic positions and articulations for a while. Actually this could be the right portion/size to start with for my type of music, so I can appreciate the full version better. Mainly interested with the String Ensemble and it has quite a lot articulations, compared to the other instruments.

It's mentioned in the page, Please note: SYMPHONY ESSENTIALS – STRING ENSEMBLE includes more articulations and NKIs than the SYMPHONY SERIES versions because the Auto Divisi feature was removed and Violins 1 and 2 were separated.
