Has anyone launched Live in MacOS Sierra beta 1 or 2 yet?

I'm wondering how the tabs will work. I have zero expectations for functionality, but am interested in seeing how this works out.

Too soon!! Even installing less than 3 months after public release is too soon! :x

:P

Tabs for what? Doesn’t look like anything that would apply to Live. Switching from session view to arrange view? That’s already built in Live and (ironically) you use the tab button for that.

I'm with you, but you never know what kind of suicidal maniacs are on the interwebs....

There are supposed to be tabs everywhere now, so I'm wondering how that would apply to Live.

It won't. :)

Seeing as they are all obsessed with the single window interface. Which may or may not be a bad thing depending on your taste. Using a tab to switch between the 2 main views would be a redundant.

Well, what if you could have multiple projects open?

I couldn't tell you how many times I had "legos" in one project that I would love to just copy and paste into another.

That's a tall order. I think tabs are meant for low resource applications where you would normally have multiple main windows open like spreadsheets, text documents, and photo editing. Live doesn't let you have multiple projects open and I don't think tabs is going to make it easily possible now. Plus there are still Windows users. Would they get no similar option?

At best I could see Ableton make something where you would still have one big project but then within that make grouped sub projects accessible with something like tabs to just make that sub group the on screen focus but they still reference the single open master project.

Ummm... actually us Windows users have been able to open multiple Live projects for years now (maybe always? I don't remember if that was always an option or only the last 3-4 full versions).... so not much would change for us, but thank you for looking out for us ;)

Hopefully Sierra will be a good stable OS (or become one, like Mavericks). Most people I know who have upgraded beyond Mavericks have told me that their mac became slower and more buggy.

Checking in to see if the Sierra-related issues and crashes have been resolved yet. I reinstalled El Capitan and am weary of Sierra given the crashes I had in Live 9.7. Any updates from anyone?
