Improvements without having to pay for a new version

Why?doghouse wrote:I was hoping to never read about Bitwig again in this forum
Well, if we read the tea leaves we can consider the fact there is no current beta version of Live. I don't know. It comes when it comes. I don't want new features, except the ones that should have been in already in 9.0 or 9.5. I want stability and bugs and inconsistencies fixed. Live is a music production work horse. There are very few big update aspects that are needed IMHO.antic604 wrote:https://www.bitwig.com/en/bitwig-studio/bitwig-studio-2 - it's a mixed bag of some cool added features, some other that were promised but are not delivered and some controversy around new licensing model. Still, it's a new version to be excited about :)
What about Live 10? Is it realistic to expect something at NAMM 2017 which starts next week :?:
That’s preposterous, and I don’t think they are relevant or “gold standard” enough to pull that off successfully. Sounds more like a win for Ableton (until they announce something similar)Angstrom wrote:Cant say I'm impressed with their new updates license.

You buy the app and get 12 months of updates.
Then additional years of updates cost you $169 every year.
So is the modulation feature anything like they advertised early on for an eventual 2.0 release?garyboozy wrote:i've been using the alpha for a few months and the modulation system is brilliantly done.
all of the devices are actually built using the modular system, but it's not accessible to end users yet.stringtapper wrote:The impression I got was that the modular environment would be something like a limited Max For Live that's built-in from the ground up. Is that not what it has become?
What do you mean? Waves doesn't have a subscription model.fabrice segura wrote:i don't like this model like waves plan
