Interesting!

I've had laptops affected by loud music causing an unresponsive drive but interesting that a resonant frequency on a small speaker can be used to disrupt a drive.

I guess this applies mainly to laptops with inbuilt speakers. There is a reference to CCTV recorders but having worked for a supplier of CCTV/Security equipment for 12 years most DVRs/NVRs are Linux based dedicated boards and don't have anything more than a piezo buzzer that has 1 tone available so not much risk there.

I wonder if the issue is mainly when the speaker is within very close proximity causing the components to all vibrate or if it could be amplified and used from a distance because that would be something of a concern.
