Help me!! Need a way to use a launchpad/mf as a soundboard

Post by cBtwitch » Wed Jul 11, 2018 4:55 am

I have a launchpad mk2, midi fighter 3d, and a midi fighter 64 and I was looking for a way to use them as a soundboard for my stream on twitch. Basically, have a sound mapped to each button and having the sound play on-stream audio when i press it. Any ideas on how I could do this? 8O

you didn't mention if you are on Windows or Mac OS X, but there are a few sound cart options out there:

https://www.rogueamoeba.com/farrago/

there are a couple of others that i have left out, as they don't seem to be in active development...

You can use Live's Session View for that.

https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/session-view/

Disable "Loop" on the Audio Clips you want playing just one time.

Or you can use Drum Racks:

https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/instr ... drum-racks

Or you can use Sampler (if you have Suite or Sampler), it can also be used to assign a sample to each key.
