thinking of going south america next year

hi - i'm thinking of going to a country in south america for a few weeks next year, and maybe meeting some people who are into the same sort of crap that i make: improvised, experimental, dub, drone, noise sort of stuff. maybe even doing a gig or two with someone while im there. at least collecting a lot of sound recordings anyway

at the moment i'm thinking of Buenos Aires or La Paz. i know (only online) some experimentalists from Buenos Aires anyway, so that's a start. maybe Colombia too, i'm open to ideas.

not too fussed about Brazil as i've been there a few times before and i want to go somewhere new

does anyone have any advice about musicians, small event organisers, artists, galleries, record labels and suchlike that might prove useful?

maybe being a bit vague but this is just initial info gathering with a view to forming a decision further down the line
