Hi
I currently have Dropbox which I store all my samples and project files. In the past i have had problems with Ableton crashing due to access rights over files between ableton and dropbox. They were both wanting to do things with the files at the same time. I now just turn dropbox sync on when i need it so this isn't a problem.
I'm thinking of swapping over to icloud as i already have it for my phone backups etc, its a lot cheaper for more space. I understand that if you stop it syncing it removes the files from your pc. Is there a way around this so i can stop it accessing files wile i produce?
Regards
Jamie

Re: icloud backup
i don't like iCloud for cloud storage, as it provides very little transparency or control.
Re: icloud backup
Lol icloud is transparent enough. Just depends on the devices you have. The good thing about dropbox or google drive is that it doesn't matter what device you are on. So if you ever had to move to a windows (*throws up in mouth*) machine, you would still have all your files etc.
So mostly while icloud is great, it is limited to one operating system.
