been learning new stuff on ableton mostly how to make trap, dubstep, house, etc. definitely also looking for tips on what to get as far as wavetables to make more diverse sounds anyone got any tips, lets all discuss the different productions of edm, share videos on production,
Lets find some good tips for making music production easier and combining ideas on making new sounds

My advice would be to learn to actually play some of, if not all of your music on instruments other than dj controllers. I've been to a ton of EDM festivals and I almost never see anything other than CDJs. I get that this type of music is difficult to re-create live, but if you show up with only a usb drive to a show, there really isn't anything to see you do on stage. Down with 100% pre-recorded music, I say!

As far as wavetables go, make your own in Serum:) Try to push yourself to not use presets, or at the very least, use presets as a starting point.

Try writing actual songs (where you sing) and not just "make beats"

just my 2 cents.
