I see your game! You want to show our age. I've been loving Live about 15 years now and I am just 20.
Back then the forum was fun. Lots of feuding, family stuff. Lots of expletives and musicians expressing themselves. Luckily we had leadsquietman. Do a search, his posts may still be on the server. However, we still have Tarekith among others.
Really miss those days, we didn't spoon feed anyone here. You had to RTFM.

That just shows you how easy it was to make music with Live. Anyway, don't believe everything you read, I was in my 40's then., having been around music production long before then, from in my teens. Just didn't want to show up my age, but it is hard for me to tell a lie.

Ah, so you grew up around the time the recorded sound directly to wax cylinders. Gotcha.

I got into Live at version 3, the mp3 support was too much to resist.

You see what I mean. Anything that I can do, Tone Deft could do it better. Just one example of how the family feuds started back in those days.
Anyway, I think we are much older and wiser now, so I won't be drawn into another one now. I doubt if I had even known what mp3 was in 2003.

The year was 1985. Ableton live was just a concept we had to gather 15 men with strong minds to chant the sacred chants and invoke it. Then three pure blooded witches entered the circle holding raw sample data in a bucket of silver.

Tell that to the kids today and they won't believe you.
