Anyone having issues with spotify?

Post by downfader » Fri May 01, 2020 7:30 pm

Just logged in today to find that all my followers on there have been deleted (or unfollowed me simultaneously - which seems unlikely since this happened overnight). Kind of disheartening.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I had a different problem; I found a lot of songs I don't know, in my library.
Even my "most played albums" showed artists I've never heard of.

I contacted Spotify and they advised towards changing passwords and removing the apps that I log into with Spotify. Even after doing that, I still had some of these problems for a while, but it has stopped now.

Some people I know have had that happen too. I'm told there is a payola thing going on, maybe people pay spoti to get put in your rotation?

That actually makes sense. It's a bit annoying for me as an end user, even more as an artist trying to get recognized.

I wonder now how many of these streaming services do that kinda thing
