I’m looking to build a new pc and was considering a Ryzen 3600 (not 3600x). The new 3300x has 2 fewer cores (& 4 fewer threads) but has better single core performance.
My Ableton Projects are generally 16 to 24 tracks, 2/3 of which would likely be vst’s.
Which would be the better cpu? Do I go more cores/threads or better single core performance?
I am upgrading from an i5 760 so either should be a reasonable improvement.
