You can’t, so think carefully before you post something. Only the mods can delete a thread.

Why would you need to delete your own message???
Just state you found the answer or it is no longer applicable. Almost all forums do not allow removal of a thread because it can delete accumulated useful knowledge and that power should not be in the hands of certain folks

Meh. Let us control our own communication. Can't delete a reply either.

You can’t, so think carefully before you post something. Only the mods can delete a thread, post, or reply. We do this to make sure that for all eternity you will forever be haunted by that one time you told someone to RTFM. The shame, the horror, the unbridled audacity of it all is overwhelming I know.
