Wrong filter settings in "Drum Machines" Single hit presets

Post by Dexes » Tue Mar 08, 2011 11:07 am

Haven't jet gone through all of them, but it seems that many of the single hit presets from the Drum Machines Live Pack have the wrong filter settings.

eg:
In the preset "Kit-909 Classic" the macro for "Cymbals Tone" is mapped to the filter on/off switch and the frequency 63.7Hz min - 911Hz Max (on the ride cymbal) and the filter is set to HP24.
Here if you turn up the tone macro the filter is turned on cutting all frequencies below 63.7Hz and removes more of the Low end as you turn the macro up.

But if you load the preset "Ride-909" from the "Drum Rack/Cymbal" folder the macro is set up the same way, only the filter is set to LP12.
This means that when you move the macro from 0 to 1 the filter is turned on and instantly all sound above 63.7Hz is cut (which in the case of the ride basically kills the sound) and as you turn it up further you get a bit more of the low end rumble.

I've gone through all the 808 & 909 presets and it seems the filter on all single hits is set to the default LP12, meaning any hit that should have a high pass filter is affected (909: Snare, Clap, Toms, Cymbals. 808: Kick, Clap, Hihats, Clave)
