OS X - Missing Several AU Plugs

Post by k-tronix » Wed Jul 04, 2012 5:13 pm

Received the following messages upon loading a project:

Audio Unit "RoughRider": The Audio Unit Plug-in could not be found.
Audio Unit "ABL Pro": The Audio Unit Plug-in could not be found.
Audio Unit "2C-Breeze": The Audio Unit Plug-in could not be found.
VST "TB_ReelBus": The Audio Unit Plug-in could not be found.

As noted in a previous thread, the VST folder does not apper in the plug-in list. A re-scan did not resolve this problem.

From the 2C website " Breeze is currently a 32bit plug-in on OSX ". I would assume its also true for the other plugins you mention. If you made the project using the 32 bit version and reopen it with the 64 bit version, you will see the plugins that are not 64 bit missing.

Please make sure you have a 64 bit version of the plugins installed

Interesting idea; however 32-bit plugs will load into Live 8.4 (e.g., Omnisphere in 32-bit mode).

Rough Rider shows up and runs perfectly as an AU here.

OSX 10.7.4
8 GB RAM
2.66 gHz/i7
