Plugin scanning stillnot working on OSX Lion with beta 8.4b2

Just a few plugins are recognized and the scanning seems to stop after Alchemy in VST and Aalto in AU.
I have tried to remove the preference file but with the same result as at the installation and also done a manual rescan with the same result.

On 8.33 this is working on the same Mac so it seems to be connected to the beta version.... ;o(

Hi,

From your description it sounds as if plugins are blocking your scanning process. It does not have to be Alcemy or Alto that will block your scanning process but can also be the plugin Live just scanned or the next item in the scan list making it freeze.

There is a way of finding out which VSTs /AU's that will make it freeze by taking out all the plugins from the VST/AU folder and add them manually one by one to find the plugin that will make it freeze. This information would help us onwards in findging out what makes your scanning freeze.
