Side-by-side comparison - 64bit vs. 32bit - notice anything?
I'd really like to here some 1st hand user experience by people who are now running full sets purely at 64 bit.
Has anyone in this situation tried loading up - or mixing down from - the same set but running Live at 32 bit - and doing a side-by-side comparison of the result?

one thing i have notice... NO CRASHING!!! i used omnisphere/trillian, kontakt, east/west libraries... and my sets would struggle... i.e. crashes... i used jbridge also with "some" success... with the 64-bit version... NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!

I second with studio logic. For big projects it's much better than 32bit with Jbridge to 64bit. Faster, more stable. Ableton 64 is VERY fast. Haven't mixed yet with Uaudio 32 bit plugs which I am nervous about. Hopefully they will go 64 bit soon so I can be 100% 64 bit.

Whats nice is projects that where impossible to finish due to the memory limitation are finally coming to a close.
Still some kind of wonky stuff that happens but much much more solid than previous 32 bit versions.
Using the 64 bit version exclusively from now on with my 32 bit plugins being bridged via jBridge.
Though the majority of my stuff is already 64 bit.

with 64bit version of Live the Omnisphere take ages to load/change preset with 32bit Omni is very fast.

Hi Oudalom,
Did you try the 32 bit version of 8.4b5 for comparison.? I would be interested in general performance problems that are new to the 64 bit version of 8.4b5 beta.
Best,
Mads
