Where to download beta?

Post by sphagnum » Thu Oct 25, 2012 11:24 pm

I've just upgraded from Live Intro (a licence which came free with something and I never used before) to Live 8 using the 25% discount. I've downloaded and authorised 8.3.4, and have been trying to download the 64-bit beta (8.4b8). When I click on the link in the sticky at the top of this page (and the "music and audio production" page) I get "The page you’re looking for does not exist". Am I doing something wrong or is the link just pointing in the wrong place now the website has been updated? (in which case it will hopefully be straightened out over the next few days)

Thanks :)

Hi,

We are sorry for any inconvenience. We are working on presenting a solution for you.
For now new builds will be delivered as autoupdates, and should you need a link to a full installer please contact beta@ableton.com

Kind regards

I'm on the latest version (8.4b8) but the auto-updates have never worked for me, so I've just been checking the website periodically

is there any way to fix this or can you guys just keep hosting the files?

to all of you where auto updates do not sork, this is a very serious bug.

Please go the the menu, help, then select 'get support'

Send in this file generated to beta@ableton.com and note that autoupdates are not working as expected.
Please note operating system, and version when doing so.

Best,
Mads
