(44204099) Midi + Arpeggiator timing changed?

I just installed 9.0.1 and everything seems to work great except that when i opened one of the tracks i had previously made with ableton 8.3, the arpeggiator isn't timed correctly or something. Clips with short midi notes give this kind of thump or kick noise at the beginning of the arpeg/synth, but only when its faster than 1/16th notes. I also, with the arpeggiator, used a beat repeat and so it unfortunately repeats this loud thump noise really fast and it sounds terrible. Before in 8.3 it sounded like they kind of overlap when repeated, but in the new 9.0.1 it sounds chopped up on the beat repeat because of the thump sound at the beginning is being played through so quickly.

My first instinct was to throw a gate on the arpeg track and carefully edit out that thumping sound at the start, but it cuts out too much raw sound of the synth. And when the beat repeat activates at 1/24th notes, it still sounds like a bunch of distorted choppy kick sounds, and even less of the actual synth (i've played around a lot with the new gate on this).

I uploaded two short clips of the synth playing before in 8.3.3, and one after in 9.0.1. You can definitely tell theres a difference and these are from the same project w/ nothing changed.

What i don't understand, is what changed from 8.3 to 9.0.1 to make it do this? It sounded absolutely fine before. I'm going to revert back to 8.3.3 for now until this gets resolved although i wanted to use the new 9.0.1 tools

We found an issue with the Arp. This is already tracked.

Any updates on the Arp being broken. I have a lot of old projects I can't use in 9 yet do to this.
