(#345) m4l device ControlChange8 crashes Live 9.03bx 64bit

I have installed all new devices, Max6.1.1 and the newest Live 64bit beta on MacOS X.6.8.

ControlChange8 which I used before for my projects is crashing Live (reproducible!).
Other m4l devices are running fine so far.

Yes it is!

BUT only ControlChange8, other m4l devices are running as expected!

Strange. I can't reproduce it here, but I'm using a different OS X version. I'll try it on a 10.6.8 machine. Just to make sure: we are talking about Robert Henke's ControlChange8 device, available from http://roberthenke.com/technology/m4l.html, correct?

If you need an emergency workaround, you should be able to use the device in the 64-bit version if you:
- Launch the 32-bit version of Live 9
- Load the device and open it in the Max editor
- Switch from presentation to patching mode and delete the "p about" sub patcher.
- Save the device.

This removes the device's "about" window, but should prevent it from crashing in the 64-bit version. Note that you might need to do this for all instances of the device that may reside inside your existing project folders, in case you saved your projects self-contained.
