Disco problem or why Live should have smart color management

Post by ilya.soloviev » Sun Sep 01, 2013 11:44 pm

Live should detect lightness of color and switch to black/white text.
This is example why i can't use great Disco skin (which was released officialy!!)

yes, Disco was a good idea if you can read the text. I went also back to the standard skin.

Same

I like the darker colours as it's easier on the eye but I also found that the vertical lines in the piano roll were too dark to see too and I was constantly having to look at the number guide instead of just snapping to a line as usual. I have had to switch to a lighter colour which sux.

agree. the skin is perfect for working in the night.
ableton should give us an easy way to edit the skin files (i know there is an editor out there, but it handles bad.)
i would still edit the live 9 standard, because there are some colors i dont like and i would also make some colors darker to sit perfect for needs.
