Fine tuning of loop end position
Fine tuning of loop end position
Hi,
I have a problem with setting the precise end point of a loop, which is incorrect with what it should be. How can I precisely control this parameter? If I set it through the Live interface, I can do it without problems, but with Push, even selecting first with the Shift key the controller, I can't: the step is too large. So, the loop goes out of sync.
Tips?

Can you convert it to a simpler? I mean convert to the device called [simpler]? If you are on audio channel where your sample is, and then press convert on your Push2, then choose simpler. Here you can adjust as fine as you want!

Re: Fine tuning of loop end position
The tracks where there is this problem are two: a (long) audio track where I've recorded my bass (it's OK to change in Simpler if the sample is 3.15 minutes long?), but also a Midi track. How can I adjust both?
Re: Fine tuning of loop end position
I think a loop of 3 min 15 secs is fine for Simpler as long as you got enough Ram......
And do you want to alter the length of both at the same time?
Midi notes can be altered in the piano view window.

Re: Fine tuning of loop end position
The notes on Midi file ends correctly. For better explanation, I put an image of the end of the loop. I can't cut that little gap that there is from the end of the beat 12 and the end of my loop. So, from the second turn of the loop, it's all out of sync.
Re: Fine tuning of loop end position
I see what you mean, it will go out of sync drasticly. But have you set your songtempo correct, before warping and quantizing stuff, I know you cannot warp midi notes, but I guess your bassline recorded will set the length of the loops, but was the tempo allright before you started recording?
The first thing I do before recording is setting the tempo allright, so later on editting is easier to do, so is looping in this case.

Re: Fine tuning of loop end position
I understand your concept. But now there is a chance to realign all with Push? I will make another post for suggestion for a correct workflow.
