Launchpad Edition of Ableton live 8.2.1 = No beat slicing

I bought a Novation Launchpad and it came with a version of Ableton live 8.2.1 Edition for Launchpad, it is excellent except for the fact that it does not have beat slicing! Is this a glitch on my Edition of the software or does it come like this ? :cry:
