What are those 2 sockets on the back good for?

Post by #1thelark » Thu Mar 28, 2013 5:36 pm

Manual doesn't say anything about those two sockets labelled 1 and 2 on the back.
Are they only for plugging footswitches or maybe even more (audio)?

they're footswitches for a sustain pedal.

I think Abelton need to update their manual to include information about this. There is nothing in the manual about these jacks. I would like to know what kind of pedals can be used here.... For example can I use my Moog expression pedals?

no, they are for foot switches, not expression pedals.

Sorry if this is an uber dumb question but...why 2?
Sustain pedal I understand, but what else would you use these for?

ah...yes...of course.

To use it for triggering a looper device or something, the pedal would have to be midi mapped in your set, right?

yup.
Here's hoping thats still an option, though. I seem to recall the push live mode input isnt visible in the midi device preferences anymore? Could someone confirm that?

@ Jordi.Martinez & lo.key (btw - Hi lokey! Nice to see a familiar moniker from monome) :D
Sorry if this is a dumb question...but where are you guys getting your information on these pedals? I haven't got Push yet and can't find anything about them in the Live 9 user manual...

Jajaja, man, I'm a luky Push owner, and just trying hard to figure out all the possibilities. The Push section in the Live manual is sparse, to be honest, and u know, practice and bold is the mother and father of science.
Glad to help u if I can.
