Footcontrol via Push to control looper?

Hi,

has anyone some experience if it is possible to use a footswitch connected to push to control looper recording?

I was able to midi map the footswitch to the multi-purpose transport button in push user mode.

But in "normal mode" it is not possible.
I tried m4l device "cc2param" - I was able to map the footswitch to some parameter but not to the multi-purpose transport button.

Maybe Ableton can do this in a future update.
Or are there some clever m4l coder to realize this?
