shitty ass work around. enable User mode and midi map clips to the corresponding pads. I set my clip vel at 80%. save it as the default session so you dont have to remap.

Okay, so I know nothing about the clip velocity and have never used it. I tried it and don't see-hear anything?

First thing is first you have to enable user mode in lives settings or else putting the push into user mode does nothing. Once user mode is enabled you can midi map pads to clips, raise the velocity for the clip and it should work.

This is possible using a third party midi remote script called PXT live by Native Kontrol. God knows why ableton didn't implement this in push. Clip launch velocity is a great little feature until you learn you can't do it with their dedicated hardware - crazy. Yeah so pxt live is basically extended push functionality and session mode is practically the same but you can notably use clip launch velocity. Only downside i can see and i might have just not selected something right but in session mode on pxt it doesn't display your track names.

would actually recommend pxt live plus for every push owner, but that doesn't change the fact that its on evey clip cell (velocity) and push is vel sensitive. Not allowing this should have a warning statement on the box
