Good idea re. adding Reverse. So I'd change the line to:

Code: Select all

SAM_BOB = ('Volume', 'Pan', 'Pan < Rnd', 'Time', 'Time < Key', 'Filter Freq', 'Filter Res', 'Reverse')
Is that right?

Fair enough about dropbox! :)

Thanks for the re-up, grabbing it now.

So the sample selector... what does that affect on the Sampler? Doesn't seem to alter anything on mine

Holy shit! I've been trying to work out how to easily switch between samples within 1 Sampler for so long! I never spotted the SEL tab (or if I did I never understood it!) Currently I have a whole bank of samplers, each with a different sample in, and I turn them on/off accordingly. This is gonna be a small revolution to my workflow, particularly with the dial on Push so conveniently mapped! Thanks man!

Is it possible to specify Bank names for M4L devices? I've found stuff on the forum re. VST plugins but not M4l

I don't know, but inquire with tom_d in his Uber thread, his method does do all kinds of crazy shit 8)
8) 8) Yeah, it should work with my script, you wouldn't be able to do it without the script as all Max devices are just named "Max For Live Instrument" as far as the default Devices.py is concerned, but my script works out a unique hash of the parameters the device exposes, which lets you uniquely identify Max (and Reaktor) devices and give them different mappings.

rev_engineer has volunteered to be a Windows guinea pig so I'll keep you informed of the progress :)

Sorry to necro post but I have to say thanks, the mappings are flat out awesome! I have my Goldbaby samples in 128's from pre-Push times but I'm in the process of rebuilding as these mappings give me much more control with simpler ( not the instrument ), easy to build racks. Thanks a million dude!

This thread needs to be de-necroed. I guess Ableton expected the community to finish their work for them, or they're in the process of observing some experiment. The default mapping of Live devices is just woeful. Maybe one day, in happy rainbow land, they'll come to their senses.

These mappings are indeed awesome
