I'm pretty sure this is because the Python framework has been updated to version I-don't-remember-which-one recently.

The customized Devices.py file still works fine in 9.6 (tested with the Device Mode in PXT-Live), but not with Push as Push no longer uses the definitions found in Devices.py. I’m sure there’s a way around that, but it wouldn’t be as straightforward as it was in earlier versions of Live.

Good info.

Yeah I appreciate the info everyone. It's a shame the definitions were updated in this way--I certainly don't see any new mapping functionality in 9.6. I don't have coding skills, but if anyone feels up to updating this I'd certainly be grateful.

Also I'm surprised I'm the first to comment on this--I thought the community mappings were used by quite a few people? Are people just upgrading to the Push 2?

The most significant change in 9.6 is dynamic parameter banks, which hides parameters that aren't relevant. To see an example of how that works, enter Device Mode and load Analog on a track. With your mouse, turn Osc 1 off and on. You'll notice that, when Osc 1 is off, its related parameters won't be shown and will instead be replaced by Osc 2-related parameters.

This looks great...

Anything like this for Push 2?

The prEditor is really nice! I use push 2 for extended mixing, so I can manage the mapping in a very elegant way.
Is there any plan from Ableton to make toggling A/B, M/S, L/R possible?

I would just like to add that this still works for 9.7.3. Thank you very much for all your work.

The links in the OP seems to be dead - can someone post a new link, or is there a better solution these days?

The parameter mapping in Push 2 is much improved. I'm not sure whether there is still a need for this. Others might have a clearer idea...

DataLife asked for the link. Apparently the link in the original post does not work anymore. Can someone post it?

what is the most recent live version that works with this and with push 1?

The downloads in post 1 have stopped working - any chance for a new source Tom?

Lastly, does this not interfere with Stray's PXT?

Many thanks
