Thanks for the heads up, dna. Good to know. I have heard great things about how reaper makes better use of computer resources. I will check this out along with the push functionality. Very surprising to find out the reaper push mod is free and available for so many controllers.dna598 wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 3:34 pmbaseinstinct wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 2:07 pmWhat's that daw and what's the trick that lets you use push?
I thought Push was 'handshaken' to play only with live.
Reaper. There is a script available for using Push, and it works without the issue described in this thread. Armed tracks remain armed on the pads, when tweaking other channels and devices.
I learnt the whole program just to get my money's worth out of Push.
As far as the other advantages over live, I can hardly imagine what you could not do with live in terms of fx routing that you could with more specialised apps, but if yes, it is nonetheless a fabulous tool for making music ideas come to realisation, and would not want to get back to the stone age of messing around with loops in sequencer mode - that's feels so 2k5 to me.
Still, it is great that push jailbreak is possible and would hope push 3 onwards will be less restricted to Live - not more.
PS. Better still, Push is made to work with bitwig BTW by this same guy who made it speak with reaper!! I ain't gonna go nowhere any time soon, but it increases the future re-selling value of the controller.
