assign push scales mode
assign push scales mode
so i create a track using scale mode set to what ever, how to you save it so that when you open the project again the scale mode is where you recorded it.
seems it always goes back to c major.. or what ever the default is.
this would save me trying to find the scale each time. Yeah i could name the track including the scale and manually change it but is there an easier way.

Re: assign push scales mode
I'm new to push, but I've noticed this too. Really think it should remember the last "scale"
Hell, I can't always remember which one I was using!

Re: assign push scales mode
This has been requested a number of times, Ableton are very much aware of this.
In the meantime we have this ClyphX which will allow you to capture the current Scale in a clip and switch automatically to that scale every time you play that thereafter.
It's semi automated and still requires your input the 1st time you want to capture the scale.

Re: assign push scales mode
i had no idea that happened thx for the heads up
Re: assign push scales mode
Ableton needs to release an actual midi effect device called 'Push'. When you load it into a channel, it can set the scale, and whether to treat the channel as notes mode or drum mode.
Then, whenever you drag that channel into a set, Push will automatically agree with it.
This would also make it possible to have multiple sets loaded at any time and still change your scale for you.
The only annoying part would be having to load it into every channel haha.
Perhaps it would also give you special functions like locking Push to channels, and color settings

Re: assign push scales mode
cheers Panten, I will look into this for sure as i also want to jump redbox around for apc40 and reset sends and a few other things could be very handy just from my quick browse of the manualpanten wrote:In the meantime we have this ClyphX
Re: assign push scales mode
You're all welcome. Stray is the guy you should really thank though, for releasing ClyphX completely free.

Agreed on the awsomness that is clyphX!
The Finn opened a clyphX Tips and Tricks thread in the main section. Let's make that a busy thread and fill it with useful information. Shall we?!
I already started with a first post and short description of what clyphX is.
This could also be the thread to ask other users for help with clyphX. (I already did that too
)
Maybe it should be a sticky?!

Agreed, thanks to you guys for starting that thread. I will try and contribute when I can; unfortunately work is ramping up for me at the moment and we'll be hitting crunch time v.soon. I'm also no expert in this stuff at all and feel like I'm stumbling around bumping into useful things.
