Airyck wrote:I've been playing with the Massive mapping a bit. I'm pretty sure the reason that it makes a new configuration file for each preset has to do with the macro controls in Massive. When you have them mapped in the Ableton Configuration each preset is actually a different .cfg file because it's literally different for each preset (since the names are different like timbre, amp, filter, osc1, wobble, etc...).

So if you want to be able to map controls for Massive you need to leave out the macro controls in the original Ableton configuration that you use to make the presets (which means it wont work with the purchased presets from the Komplete 9 collection since they include the macro controls).

Just wanted to share this info in case anybody want to try and map Massive.
Ahhh well spotted! I think I'll be able to work out a solution for this... e.g. a way to exclude a certain device from the "difference config file for each set of exposed automation controls" system... or even to just ignore certain parameters for certain devices when calculating the "uniqueness". I'll try and have a look at this soon as it shouldn't be too hard :)

Great news! :) I'll wait a bit before I do anymore work on Massive, the Macro controls are very useful if you're browsing presets so I'd hate to leave them out.

In the mean time I'll keep working on what I can when I have the time.

I'm contemplating making a set of sound design presets for Massive where the presets are made up of all of the different individual Oscillator wavetables (since you can't map them to change them.) Though it would be very difficult to make presets with every possible combination so I'm still thinking about the best way to do something like this right now.

Hey fistikuffs,

for which plug-ins are those mappings? I may have missed something but I do not see the info anywhere.
Thanks!

Sorry dude, the plugin name is in the post subject. The one you've quoted is Klanghelm's SDDR. I'll edit the posts to make it clearer.

@tom_d

your m-185 step sequencer is missing a lot of features like stage division, stage lenght and stage mode. is there a reason for that? i modified the m-185 because push shows me something like "live.dial1", "live.dial2" etc.

i can post my .cfg but you need my modified version of m-185. should i post it here?

Xfer LFOTool

Xfer LFOTool

Most of the sliders and selectors are mapped. The "GRAPH" banks are mapped to the X and Y axis of the points on the Lfo graph plus the curves. Unfortunately you can't add/remove points and it's only possible to control the graph on the first page. However there's still plenty of fun to be had with LFOTool and Push with this config :D

I understand life gets busy and a lot of this modding is secondary to the important things but just curious if you'd had any progress on this? I haven't been doing much "ubermapping" (all the cool kids are doing it these days :p ) but I'm going to get back into doing it soon.

I'm really looking for a way to add the ubermap stuff to already existing preset configs so I can ubermap things like the Audiomodder presets rather than do them all over with a new config.

Anyway just curious if Massive was coming up soon?
I'm going to do a set of presets for Massive & Push with some common controls mapped and as many combinations of waveforms as I can stomach, just don't want to start on it until I know if I have to work around the Macro controls.

No rush, just curious :)
