SOLVED: Clip Mode Encoders on Audio and MIDI Tracks Blank?

Post by braduro » Sat Apr 12, 2014 3:58 pm

Hi!
When selecting a clip, I see the "Clip Selection:" listed, but above it, none of the encoders list their corresponding assignments in clip mode or do anything. Neither with a warped audio clip nor a midi clip, nor with a short audio file that is intended to auto-warp when it imports. Doesn't matter if the clip is playing or transport is stopped and clip is highlighted.

In the manual, the encoders are supposed to control:
Loop Start
Position
Length
Loop on/off

with additional control for audio clips:
Warp Mode
Detune
Transpose
Clip Gain

Works now! Can't say what it was. I do notice on occasion that my blank template sometimes won't loop a recent clip at first, for example, maybe because the record button is showing red and not the light red-that sort of thing. I've long since had ableton open with the default template that it comes with, so my modifications could easily have mixed things up...
