Push stops working when connected to MS Remote Desktop?

I have a headless PC that works great with Push and my RME FireFace UCX. But when I connect to it via MS Remote Desktop, Push freezes. If I disconnect it and reconnect it, it just says to start Ableton Live to play. If I log in again (not rebooting, just clicking the username and typing the password) using the local keyboard and mouse, then disconnect and reconnect Push, it starts working again.

Anyone know why this happens? The FireFace keeps working over USB even when it's disconnected.
